Trumpet players have a myriad of avenues open to them that will allow their talents to shine: playing in bands, drum corps, pit orchestras, and chamber groups, to name a few. With so many options available, it can be difficult to find the right fit that will allow you to stand out. Entering and winning competitions allows you to rise above the crowd and show how serious you are about pursuing and improving your proficiency and musical expression.
Competitions provide a great experience, no matter the level of prestige. Don’t know how to get started? We have included below a few elite trumpet competitions for high school students.
